Punctuating a song list

I am wondering about punctuating a list of songs for a program. The song titles would be listed horizontally. Should it be (for example):

"Tonight," "I Feel Pretty," "My Favorite Things," "Do, A Deer"

or

"Tonight", "I Feel Pretty", "My Favorite Things", "Do, A Deer"

Does the "comma inside the quotation marks" rule apply here also?

Thanks for your help!!

Why are you bothering? It would be easier to use tabs which would also make it easier to read. List: Tonight I Feel Pretty My Favourate Things Doh, A Deer etc Lots of words together make it off putting to read and confusing.

  • Put them in Excel and then the computer will list the althabetical for you.
  • Then copy and paste them into your document.

Since the tabs idea doesn't work for something like an essay or a research paper, I would suggest you go with the general rule that says punctuation marks go inside quotation marks. He said, "I like her very much." or I love to listen to songs like "Waiting on a Woman."

In a list, I would recommend the same rule applies. My five favorite Elvis Presley songs are "In the Ghetto," "Kent
