Pulls up in his car

Maggie smokes a cigarette as she waits at a street corner in the city. Tom pulls up in his car. Maggie puts out the cigarette and gets into the car.

1. Is this grammatically correct?

2. Is pulls up OK? And if so, is it enough or would I need something like pulls up to the curb?
