1. A car pulled up alongside the truck.
2. A car drew up alongside the truck.
Is there any difference in meaning between the two sentences ?

But doesn't sentence #1 mean that the truck was stationary when the car stopped beside it, whereas in #2 the truck was still moving and the car just caught up with it.
