Pull as an intransitive verb

Hi

Could you please tell me how the use of pull as an intransitive verb sounds to your native ears?

  1. The speeding car pulled to the right and then fell into the deep ravine.
  2. The plane was pulling violently to its left.

Thanks,

Tom

If a car's wheels are out of alignment, it will pull to the left or right. I suppose strong cross-winds can cause the same effect on a plane.
