Pull a nasty face

Hi

Are the underlined parts natural English?

She pulls a nasty face whenever she doesn't like anything.

Every time I tell her to mind her manners, she pulls a strange face.

Why pull such a sad face? We are not cancelling the trip. Just postponing it for two days.
