This is called product placement or embedded marketing or embedded advertising. A company pays the movie maker to have its product featured in a movie, not in a direct advertisement, but, nevertheless, in a way that calls attention to it; for example, having the movie's main character drive a certain make of car, with the camera being sure to shoot the car so that there's no doubt about what it is. This has apparently been going on since the days of silent films.
