Essay & Composition Writing

Psychologists have known for many years that colour can affect how people feel. For this reason, attention should be given to colour schemes when decorating places such as offices and hospitals. How true this statement? How far colours influence...

Color has been believed to affect the way people feel for a long period of time. For this reason, harmonious colors should be chosen to decorate public places such as hospitals or office blocks.

First of all, color can have numerous effects on the concentration. For instance, people working in rooms that are painted with bright colors are more focused on their tasks than who work in dark-painted rooms. According to recent surveys which were conducted in Australia, 81% of businessmen and businesswomen found working in white or sky-blue color rooms is more productive than in dark rooms. Moreover, teenagers in Finland who were asked about their favourite room color said that they liked bright tones because they can do their homework more effectively and feel safer.

Furthermore, feeling also depends on the types of colors. To exemplify, people who live in sunny places are happier than those live in rainy regions because of the color of the sky. A group of scientists in Italy performed research into adults, and they came to the conclusion that approximately 78% of the citizens in Venice prefer living in the rural areas to living in urban zones. The reason is because when they live in the countryside not only they can enjoy the greenish atmosphere but also they can observe colorful scenes.

To conclude, I highly emphasize that colors have a big influence on our feelings. Thus, public facilities should be decorated with colorful ornamentation in order that workers can feel more comfortable.
