Providence have or Providence has?

1. Providence have make me a lady after a fashion.
????????????????
2. She sings after a fashion.
???????
3. He can speak English after a fashion.
?????????
4. I can play the piano after a fashion.
????????.

Is "Providence have" correct english? If so why? Does it have to do with it being in capital 'P' ?
And another question is do all the 4 "after a fashion" have the same meaning? i.e.
to a certain extent but not perfectly.(not so well)
For me it seems the first one doesn't have this meaning because the chinese translates as ???=noblewoman.
