I'd not convinced that words such as this are particularly useful; I'd guess that only one in a thousand native-speakers would know what the word means (I certainly didn't, and I've done a lot of reading in my fifty-odd years), and I find the word about as useful as I would a chocolate teapot. Sorry, I just think the word should be left in obscurity, where it belongs.

A fellow used this word at my costume shop to mean conspicuous from the stage.

I'll take any new words I can get. Prosilient looks and sounds very pleasant. An aesthetic as well as a functional addition to our vocabulary.
