Proposal for the Film Club at AXA Group - proposal - Feedback please

Current Situation

Considering the number of students of English in our department (Marketing) at AXA Group, I am very keen to propose the setting up of a Film Club aimed at fostering a better knowledge of the English language and improving listening skills with different accents. It is also a pleasant and sociable way to learn English and train the ear by matching spoken English against the dialogue given in the subtitles.

Suggestions

Firstly, I suggest the members should meet up every Friday after working hours (18:00pm) at the meeting room. It is preferable, due to the fact that we are more relaxed after working the whole week. The students should use the meeting room which is fully equipped with all the facilities such as DVD player, sound boxes, amplifiers and chairs, stimulating a good atmosphere during the sessions.

I propose to consider someone among us to choose the films, whose cost is already quoted at the shop (Zeta Films) for the affordable price of eight dollars per film. If everybody chips in, we will be able to share the costs and also join a membership card. We are allowed to watch two films a week, which will result in an amount of sixteen dollars a week, with a total of six dollars and forty cents a month for each one (16 dollars a week shared by ten people in the department).

We might want to consider how we are going to discuss the films. What about if we discuss them in a chat? I also suggest that some film genres should be chosen by all the colleagues in order to avoid possible disturbances. In addition, under no circumstances should you choose pornographic films with obscene content or fanciful language.

Conclusion

We must bear in mind that such initiative are aimed at promoting the fluency among our colleagues and make them feel more confident in conference calls, meetings and informal conversations using the English Language.

after working hours (18:00pm): you are repeating yourself. 18.00 p.m. IS after working hours, so why are you emphasizing that it is after working hours.
Just say: ...meet every Friday at 6 p.m. in the meeting room.

'at' = more the idea of general location. You will be meeting i
