Prophet

Happiness is simple because ultimate truth is simple. When Christ says, “The kingdom of heaven is within,” when the prophet hears God tell him to be still and know, we can’t believe that’s all there is to it.

The underlined part is from the bible (Psalms 46:10). In this text, I guess the prophet is Christ. I wonder if I’m mistaken.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Mariott Where it says "the prophet" in that sentence, I would understand it to mean "whoever wrote Psalm 46" So, in order to give an answer, we would need to know what the writer of the sentence thought about that Some people would say, as a matter of belief, that all the Psalms were written by David. In that case, the answer is straightforward: it means the prophet David However, others would say that we are only sure that David wrote about half the psalms and that the others are written either by other prophets or by people that we will never know, who wrote prophetic songs Psalm 46 is one that doesn't have David's name against it. Your writer doesn't give a name and that may be deliberate: they may just mean: whoever wrote those prophetic words, possibly David, possibly an earlier religious writer Best regards, Dave

Hi,

I don't think the whole part that you underlined is quoted directly from the Bible.

Anyway, it seems inexact. Psalms 46:10 says Be still, and know that I am ***; I will be exalted
