Proper work order in a sentece

Hello everybody. Would you be so kind and write to me which of the following sentences have proper word order:

1. The determined refractive indices at interfaces of the film are marked in Fig. 10 using squars.

2. The determined refractive indices at interfaces of the film are marked using squars in Fig. 10.

Are the numbers written in the squares?
