Proper way to sign business letter

My boss has requested that I sign for him at the bottom of a business letter. I know there is a proper format for doing so, but I don't recall and cannot find any information on this. I know that if I TYPE the letter for him, his initials in caps/my initials lower case are proper. However, in this case, I am to be providing the inked signature in his stead.

Do I simply sign "(my name) for (his name)" above his typed name?

Thanks in advance!
