Proper use of the verb "to be"

I was wonder if it was possible to use any form of the verb to be at the end of a sentence. For example, would it be correct if I said I am not the man i once was?

"I once was" is fine; so is "I used to be".

There is no objection to forms of be at the end of a sentence. It is quite common.
