Proper use of apostrophe

Which is correct? You will need your parent's information? You will need your parents' information? This may be referring to just one parent or more than parent but would is something I want to put in an informational guide. So which is correct?

I agree with Regards. Information is not the right for that context.

Most probably, you meant permission by saying information.

In response to your question, when you say parents' permission. Both mother's and father's permission is needed. But when you say parent's permission, either the mother's or father's permission is needed.
