Proper use of a phrase

Is it correct to say "on behalf of the staff and I we would like to extend our condolences"? or do you say I would like to extend my condolences as well as on on my behalf of my staff?

Is it correct to say on my behalf?

You should say "on behalf of the staff and myself". In my opinion using "I" instead of myself would be wrong.

Hi Ivanhr.

I is in the position of subject. I think we have to use either I myself or I.

Look at the rest of the sentense we would like to extend our condolences, So if you omit on behalf of the staff , we have myself would like to extend my condolences. which does not sound correct.

However, I am not sure.

When you say "we", that includes both the staff and you. For that reason "I and we" is wrong. However, "myself" is fine because it's attached to the whole phrase "on behalf of the staff and myself" which means that you speak for both yourself and the staff.

Agree.

I got it by the way you put it.

Because I speak for myself and on the behalf of the staff, so myself is the right choice.

Thanks for your explanation
