Proper order of words?

Just to clarify an argument with a friend, which of these is gramatically correct?

"Your argument is invalid otherwise."

"Your argument is otherwise invalid."

Both are correct, but I take the meanings a little differently.

... is invalid otherwise says to me that without some factor or consideration (not mentioned in the example you gave), the argument is invalid. I take this to be the same as when otherwise occurs at the beginning: Otherwise your argument is invalid.
