Grammar

proper noun

Hi,
Just wondering if we put "the" article in front of restaurants' names such as In & Out, Mcdonald's, Shake Shack, etc.

Do we say, " I am going to Mcdonald's or the Mcdonald's?"

Thanks,

The same is true of other chains (more t

Don't say 'the', unless you add a clearly specific reference,
eg I am going to the McDonald's on Main Street, not the McDonald's on King Street.
