Proper noun

Is 'French food' a proper noun ? I know that French is a proper noun and food is a common noun, so would these phrases ' French horn' , ' Chinese noodles' , ' Japanese sword' be proper nouns or common nouns ?

P.S: This is an exercise from a grammar book which asks if the above phrases are common or proper nouns although they feel like adjectives to me, please reply asap. Thank you.
