Dear Proofreader,
I would appreciate your proofreading of my letter. Many thanks.

On a recent holiday you lost a valuable item. Fortunately you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost. Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter: 1) describe the item you lost 2) explain how you lost it 3) tell the insurance company what you would like them to do

Dear Sir/Madam,

Further to my policy number of 4641 which states all of my possessions should be covered under your insurance company, “Allianz Company”, I would like to claim for my lost item.

At Sydney International Airport, I lost my i-pad in the boarding waiting room at Gate 42. The i-pad has a gold case and it is the late version which has released to the market. I left my i-pad when one passenger was in need of help and when I got back there was no i-pad.

In accordance with the terms and conditions of our contract, Allianz Company would reimburse me up to 90% of the total value of missed item. Since the price of my i-pad was $700, I would appreciate it if you could organize the reimbursement. The invoice and my account details are enclosed in this letter.

Thank you for your considerations.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Yes, I agree with you. It is a bit strange topic. I have found this topic from General Module B, Cambridge IELTS 9 book.
