It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents, for instance for sport or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

There are always conflicting perspectives towards how being successful in some fields such as music or sports. Some believe that people should have special and related talents to become successful in music or sports while others have the opposite viewpoint. Both of these perspectives will be discussed before a conclusion is reached.

To start with, some argue that people should have intrinsic abilities for some professions. They believe that if one does not have the potential and associated talent, he or she will not reach to the highest point of profession, becoming stardom. Take sports as an example. Champions in sports, such as soccer game, are usually born with the associated characteristics. “Messi” is a well-known football player who his tactics and potential are unique which cannot be imitated by his peers. His mind extensively has functioned for soccer. This example shows that in order to be a champion, some natural talents are required.

On the other hand, others disagree with the notion of entailing special talents to be successful in sports and music, and believing that everyone can be successful if appropriately educated. With high quality education system, children can learn the associated skills of music or sports. If people have the access to learn music from early age, they will be high-qualified musicians in the future. This phenomenon can be seen in developed countries, such as the USA, which entails higher number of globally famous musicians and singers, like Jennifer Lopez, and sports champions. In nearly all of Olympic events the USA has wined the higher number of awards. This was not possible without a well-organised education system which nurtures and educates young people to become successful.

In conclusion, I think that to become stardom, associated talents and potential is paramount. However, a proper education can go a long way towards raising this potential which results in more people to succeed.
