Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development?

Technology has changed the way modern people make contact with each other. Before advent of online communication systems, individuals were forced to pay a significant amount of money to connect with their family members who live overseas. Nowadays, technology has brought about a number of advantages with making our life convenient.

To start with, technology has eased people’s communication. Revolutionary products, such as smart phones and laptops, have enabled modern people to speak to each other whenever and wherever they like. Mobiles are portable and it makes people get connected with each other easily. Moreover, online communication software, like Skype, has made a breakthrough towards the communication. It has enabled people to see each other when making online connection. Distance is not any more a problem by the modern connection. In the past, ordinary citizens could not get in touch such convenience that they have now.

Additionally, these changes of communication method have entailed a number of advantages. Firstly, the online communication has reduced associated hefty costs of travel to have personal or business meetings. Video conferences have made employees contact with their colleagues conveniently and instantly. Furthermore, the ubiquity and easy access of mobiles have saved people’s lives in urgent and serious situations. If a car accident happens, passers-by can easily call police with their smart phones and this help reduce in the number of death toll.

In conclusion, modern methods of communication have eased the way people talk with each other and have gone a long way towards decreasing in associated costs of having meetings overseas.
