If you have some money, you would donate it to support musicians or to protect endangered species?
Personally speaking, when these two things are compared, I think I would like to donate money to protect endangered species.
On the one hand, I think the main advantage of supporting musicians is the sum of money can inspire and help musicians create more excellent works.
Music plays a very important role in people’s life. It can be a sort of entertainment and education, in addition to therapy function.
On the other hand, there are the advantages of protecting the endangered species. Protecting endangered species is not only beneficial to natural environment but also to human. Once one species died off, you cannot see them in the future anymore. One quarter of all the species on the earth will become extinct over the next 30 years if the current trend continues, scientists estimate. Besides, they also claim that the extinction of any one species can seriously affect food chain and lead to a domino-style co-extinction effect.
For the statement I have presented above, compared with the pressure the musicians may bring to us, protecting endangered species appears more significant to human. Therefore, I am in favor of spending money on protecting extinct species.
