It has been said that movies affect the way we think. While the first reaction of many people may be to disagree with this statement, there are compelling reasons to explore the issue more in depth.
From my point of view, I agree with this statement for two main reasons.

The first reason is positive energy. There are countless movies which can encourage people who have low-esteem become more confident and courageous.
For example, I am going to take an important examination this summer, but I have little confidence in myself. Although I have studied very hard, I cannot see any improvement in every subject. I am frustrated and I am going to give up my exams. At this moment, John recommended me to see some inspirational movies, such as an Japanese movie“?????”and an American movie “ Good will hunting”. I did learn a lot from these movies, or in other word, they have a huge effect on me both in my mind and heart.
I changed my study plans and made up my mind to go to my ideal school. I think there is nothing could change my mind and knock me down.
The second reason is violence. There are a lot of violent scene appear in the movies. Some movies are masking violence behind love and romance, which may mislead the teenagers. Teenagers are easily to imitate the scene present in the movies because they too young to tell right from wrong.
For instance, there was a report of four 15-year-old boys who tied and burnt one of their classmates. Afterward, they admitted that they just wanted to imitate the scenes they saw in the movie, but the consequence is far beyond imagination.
In conclusion, for the reasons I have presented above, I think movies could affect the way people think to some degree. They could bring people hope and motivation; nevertheless, they could also have some negative impact on people mind and behavior.
