Hi Teachers,
Please help correct my letter if there are any mistakes. Thank you!

Dear Sandy,

I'm glad to receive your letter asking for my advice on how to learn Chinese. Now, I am going to give you some suggestions here.

With the rapid development of China’s economy and its increasing weight in global affairs, more and more people are willing to learn Chinese. According to a latest report, there are 40 million foreigners around the world were learning Chinese by the end of 2015. It is estimated that some 2500 schools in 100 countries now offer Chinese and culture-related courses. Learning Chinese is a good idea, because it is beneficial to your future study and career. You know, I have also pay attention to English learning for a long time.

Let’s come to the point. As far as I am concerned, you can learn Chinese words and sentences by singing Chinese songs. Besides, watching Chinese movies is also an interesting method.

In my own experience, I love watching Japanese cartoons, and I find that I can remember many Japanese words easily by this way. You might as well have a try to watch Chinese cartoons.

In addition, you can practice speaking with me. Speaking language is usually the goal of language learning. So, don’t be afraid of making mistakes; we all achieve success from failure.

I hope you will find these proposals useful and if you have any questions, please, please feel free to ask me.

Yours,

Lucy
