When reflecting on people’s opinion about fresh water resource, there are always a lot of points of view to be considered. Some people claim that fresh water will never be used up, so we don’t need to care about the fresh water consumption. While others think fresh water is the valuable natural resource which needs to be protected.
From my point of view, we agree with the latter opinion.
Fresh water resource is limited on the earth. About 70 percent of the earth’s surface was covered by water; however, 97 percent of this huge amount is salty sea water which is unfit to drink. Besides, with the rapid development of industry, water pollution becomes ever increasingly serious. Furthermore, the growing world’s population is also a major reason leads to the shortage of fresh water.
Therefore, our fresh water resource crisis has become one of the greatest challenges for the earth.
If short, it is time for our government to take some effective measures to solve these problems. For example, sea water purification technology and waste water recycling.
Personally speaking, only do we take immediate action to protect our limited fresh water resource, can we realize the efficiency utilization of fresh water resource and boost the sustainable development of economy and environment.
