Dear Professor Peter Pit,

I’m the secretary of the Students’ Union at the Faculty of Science.

I’m writing this letter to invite you to participate in our school’s Science and Art Festival. We would be honored to invite you to visit our school and give us a speech on How Science Can Be Related To Art, for we all know that you’re not only a successful scientist, but also an excellent pianist.  There is also a dance ball for teaching staff and students in the auditorium that night.

We would be extremely grateful if you can come and we’re looking forward to your early reply.
