It is sometimes difficult to discuss people’s opinions about the ideal pet because it is such a multifaceted topic. Some people say that a dog makes the best pet while others argue that a cat make the ideal pet. I have also come to my own conclusion. Personally, I think dogs are the ideal pet for two key reasons.
The first reason why I think dogs are the ideal pet is that dogs are friendly. There are two dogs in my home, one is Jessica and the other is Maruko. Both of them are nice to people, and our neighbors like them very much. I often take them to the local orphanages and elderly nursing homes. Children and old people will interact with Jessica and Maruko. Jessica and Maruko are good performers; they can shake hands and dance to music. Their entertaining performance make people laugh.
The other reason is dogs are loyal and responsible. Dogs have been kept as guide animals for thousands of years round the world. They protect their owner and property. For example, Jessica is smart and she will bark strangers who are trying to approach my house. Catching mice is not the only skill of cat; Jessica can also catch mice and insects. Dogs really give me a sense of safety.
Of course, there is also an argument to be made for the opposing position. However, I feel confident that the reasons I have presented above are stronger.
