Hi Teachers, Please help correct my article if there are any mistakes.
While others seem to think that the air needs to be protected the most.
I have also developed my own points of view. I think that the air has to be protected the most in my country for two main reasons.
The first reason for my position is that air pollution is harmful to our health. As one of the industrial countries, my country has made a great deal of contribution to the development of global economy. As a result, the natural environment has been badly damaged. The air quality of my country has become worse than ever. People cannot see the blue sky even on a sunny day. According to a health journal, the exhaust from automobiles and waste gases charged by the factories are the leading causes of lung diseases. Nearly 100 million people in China suffer from lung diseases every year and it could cause other related diseases.
The next reason is that air pollution will destroy our living environment. The most deadly form of air pollution is acid rain. It can destroy everything, for example: acid rain can corrode buildings and bridges. Besides, acid rain has a negative impact on agriculture and reduces the production. What’s more, acid rain can be a serious threat to the water of lakes, rivers and oceans and causes death of aquatic life and destroy the balance of ecosystem.
However, that’s not to say that other answers are completely without merit. I think there are many things that I have failed to mention. Nevertheless, I feel confident that the reasons I have presented in favor of my position are stronger.
