Essay & Composition Writing

Proofreading

Hi teachers, would you mind help correct these 3 paragraphs and determining what is the purpose of writing them (informative, persuasive or entertaining)
Here they are:

1. As a regular moviegoer, I have noticed that people have different attitudes about talking when they go to the movies. Moviegoers can be classified according to the way they talk. Some people talk normally. When they come into the theater with someone, they talk quietly until the movie starts. Once the movie starts, they don’t make comments to each other or talk out loud. Some people talk a lot. When they come into the theater, they talk and laugh out loud. Once they Find their seats, they continue to talk. They hardly notice when the movie starts because they are still talking and laughing. Even though people in the other group give them dirty looks, the people in this group talk and laugh throughout the movie. Sometimes they repeat what the actors are saying and sometimes they ask each other about what was said. Because they are so noisy, they can’t hear what is going on in the movie and, unfortunately, neither can the people sitting near them. People in this group are inconsiderate of the needs of others.

2. Two months ago my family and I went to Haddad to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. My two daughters were so happy. They like to go to my nephew’s house because he has a lot of toys. That Sunday it was raining. My brother was driving the car. He hadn’t slept very well the night before because he had to study very hard for a test on Monday. There was a brown car in front of us, and l was talking with my husband when this car stopped suddenly. The pavement was very slippery because of the rain, so we couldn’t stop and the car crashed. Everybody in the car was scared. My two daughters, who were sitting in the back seat, were crying. The first thing that came to my mind was them. Fortunately, none of us had any injuries. When I looked at my brother, his face was white. l think he was really scared for the children too. Two hours after the accident happened, a policeman came and took information about the accident. He asked my brother and the other driver, who wasn’t hurt, for their driver’s licenses and insurance cards. The policeman was very nice. He said that my husband was guilty because he was supposed to stop. The insurance company paid everything for both cars. It wasn’t a big accident, but we decided to come back home and rest.

3. Money causes teenagers to feel stress. lt makes them feel bad about themselves and envy other people. My friend, for instance, lives with her family and has to share a room with her sister, who is very cute and intelligent. This girl wishes she could have her own room and have a lot of stuff, but she can’t have these things because her family doesn’t have much money . Her family's income is pretty low because her father is old and doesn't go to work. Her sisteris the only one who works. Because her family can't buy her the things she wants, she feels alot of stress and gets angry sometimes. Once, she wanted a beautiful dress to wear to a sweetheart dance. She asked her sister for some money to buy the dress. She was disappointed because her sister didn’t have money to give her. She sat in silence for a little while and then started yelling out loud. She said her friends got anything they wanted but she didn’t. Then she felt sorry for herself and asked why she was born into a poor family. Not having money has caused this girl to think negatively about herself and her family. lt has caused a lot of stress in her life.
