Dear principle,
I am the chairman of the students’ union of the faculty of Arts. I feel bad to trouble you but I’m afraid that I have to make a complaint about the problems we meet with.
As you are well aware, a new shopping mall has been building just across from our school since last month. We can’t pay attention in class because the building site is always producing a lot of noise during school hours. The environment we want to study is peace and quiet one, so the noise will be very boring and disturbing. Besides, there will be a final exam in the coming weeks. To be frank, I think the noise will affect our performance and result.
To make things worse, in order to transfer the materials the new building needs, there are many trucks coming and going through the streets all day. It is so dangerous for our students because we have to walk across the street back home or go to school.
Therefore, I sincerely hope that you could discuss these severe problems with the developers to take some immediate measures which can solve these problems effectively.
