I appreciate if you give your comments on my essay. Thank you so much in advance.

some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children). To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Unpaid community services are suggested to be compulsory and integral programmes of high schools. This is a controvesial issue among eduacationalists who some are for and some others are against with this policy. I strongly agree with this idea considering its invaluable advantages.

First of all, this kind of programmes are healthy pursuits for teenagers. Children at high school ages are in a very critical stage of their lives. Nowadays, teenagers crime committing statistic is getting ever-increasing. Therefore, youngster’s times need to be managed in a right way to stave off committing crimes or any violence by them.

Secondly, working in that age can improve their self-confidence. Children in high school age are still dependent on their parents and they start willing to be independent. Going to a job regardless of the type of that makes them to feel better in terms of independency. consequently, they are more motivated to work by themselves and stand on their own feet. This active spirit of teenagers is very essential in every society’s development.

At last but not least, doing a compulsory job by teenagers makes it easy for them to know the value of time and money. By working they can cordially understand how earning money is difficult and they will do know how to save it. Furthermore, they will be able to make work/life balance by managing their time because they have found out that time is as invaluable as gold.

To summarize, I agree with the idea of inserting compulsory community services in high school’s programmes. These kinds of programmes are beneficial for the society by reducing teenage culprits and also for the future it brings up self-confident workforces who know how to save time and money in a more efficient way.
