Being a celebrity- such as a famous film star or sports personality- brings problems as well as benefits. Do you think that being celebrity brings more benefits or more problems?
Being celebrity might be one of youths’ ambitions as stars are admired by everyone all around the world. But for most of famous people this fact is not desirable. In my point of view, being focus of social attention like celebrities is not always honored sense. This will be analysed more in the following paragraphs.
First of all, celebrities do not live their private life. Usually medias; such as TV, radio and magazine reporters; are pursuing them and scanning their personal life to make some news for their own publicity purposes. This causes lots of problems in their private life as they can not commute in public places comfortably. For example in our local media there is a channel in which the private news of stars like their wearing style, their favourite restaurants or even their love stories are revealed for public. Without any doubt they are not content with this trend because they can not enjoy their privacy.
Secondly, celebrities’ social mistakes will be exaggerated by social medias. If a reputed man/ woman shows off an anti-social behaviour, he/she will lose his/her prestige instantly. For instance, Mahmood Ahmadinejad was a popular president of Iran when he was elected for the first time. He lost huge number of his fans after being known as the most lying politician in the world. So when he travelled to USA all Iranian people, who were his fan once upon a time, were throwing eggs to him to show their objection regarding with his politics and characteristic. I am sure that time he was wishing he was not famous!
In conclusion, according to what was analysed above, In spite being celebrity some times is interesting, it will be annoying by the time passing when it disturbs the privacy of life. So I think if you are well-known in scientific area you can enjoy of being centre of attention as well as keeping privacy of your life safe.
