Tourism industry can bring lots of benefits towards the nations’ economy, making their economy flourished and strong. It is argued that in developing countries tourists might have some drawbacks as well. In this essay, both positive and negative viewpoints of tourism industry sector will be elaborated.

Developing the tourist sites to attract more foreign visitors, can boost the economy of developing countries through creating job opportunities. Kenya, the less advanced country in Africa, act as a good example here. Investing in its tourist sites, provide the invaluable opportunity for unskilled local community means for their family. Western tourists pay them for safaris and experience beach-side dinner and dancing. Tourism can also introduce the unknown culture of under developed countries to the world, resulting to reduce the tension and misunderstanding between nations.

On the other hand, some people are opponent of promoting the tourism industry as they see tourists as the threat to their traditional culture. Youngsters are so influential and naive who the majority of them crave for Western culture. When tourists flooded into their country, they encouraged to follow their dress code, beliefs and language, resulting a catastrophic event of forgetting their own unique culture and language.

In conclusion, it is justified to say that overall tourism make the economy of the developing countries to progress, helping the standard of living to be increased. It is hoped that this practice will be inspired the world over.
