proofreading

Hello, everyone..,

Would you please proof-read the following for me?

Here's:

"In the beginning it was but a single room for both, men and women. But later, however, they splitted it into two by means of some sort of a partition which they installed inside the room. The partition extended from wall to wall and was aligned so as to divide the room into a 2-3 split. The smaller resultant room was didcated for men, and the other larger one for women, and since I was the only "men" then, I got to enjoy all the space by myself; not for long, though, as they later hired new employees and assigned them to that same office room."

Originally, it was a single office for both men and women, but later, they split it into two with a partition that extended from wall to wall and divided it into a 2:3 split. The smaller room was for men and the larger one for women, and since I was the only man then, I got to enjoy all the space by myself.
