Proofreading

Good evening Emotion: wink

I am a member of Ifrit, a Polish modder group. The main purpose of establishing our team over four years ago was creating fan-made modifications for RPG games. We don’t receive any money for it, we work non-profit. Our group has at present 34 members.

The Crossroads is our biggest adventure. Here you can watch the trailer -> The Crossroads Teaser - YouTube

The process of creating the game lasted for about three years. The adventure has already been translated into English (95% are dialogues) by several of our members. And here is my question – is there anyone who could proofread our translations? Although we have five translators in the group, we are not able to find every mistakes that have crept into the translations. We would be extremely grateful if a native speaker helped us.

Best wishes,
Flubber

Hi Flubber; If you post the sentences, and the article is not too lengthy, someone here will help you. We have both British and American native speakers. It would help if you registered, though.

Thanks for the prompt answer!

The trouble is that... the adventure is really huge - it has about 50.000 worlds. I think it's a little bit to long to be posted here... :]

All of the translations are in .docx files - if someone is willing to help us, I will send them via e-mail or put them in Google Docs - as it would be suitable.

OK, I'll register tomorrow.

Hi Flubber;

We are all volunteers here.
Asking a volunteer to proofread a 50,000-word book is asking a bit much!

We are volunteers to. The entire adventure was created by volunteers in their free time. We have been translating this since last January, as far as I remember.

I do know it's a lot... Perhaps you could look at some part? Like one third.

We've created our own game and published it for free on our site. Now we want to publish an update with the English version, because very many people don't understand Polish and wanted to play it too. We just want someone kind to proofread what we wrote

You could post one paragraph at a time.
By next January, it might all be translated.

There are no paragraphs. These are dialogues.

Do you mean there is no way for us to get any help?

Alphecca Stars has just given you a suggestion for getting it done. It appears to be just an RPG game, not a solution to any of the world's problems, so although you are in a hurry, you are unlikely to find an enthusiastic volunteer editor unless the person happens to be into role-playing or you are w
