Excuse me for reposting this since I didn't have any reply and did some rewrite my piece.

Will you proofread this? And am I polite enough?

I apologize for this request, but I would like to have an extra week for the deadline. So far I have taken no day off and spent my whole days for your project, yet I'm a bit behind the schedule. The renewed deadline would be on 4th of January for the first draft, and on 23rd for the project completion if you were fine with it.

The revised deadlines I am hoping for would b e January 4th for the first draft and January 23rd for the project completion , if that is possible.
