The Midnight Gang is the most compelling book I've ever read. The setting takes place in the hospital where there is one porter. He has no name. His swelling face and rotten teeth makes he looks scary but the passionate he has with the children makes me gobsmacked.
The porter provides children an entertainment that will make their dream come true. No matter how hard the dream is. His creative mind can do anything to replicate the children's dreams. For example, George has a dream that he wants to fly but he can't. The porter teams up with the children to find as many balloons as they can and make George dream come true. Even though George is plump. Sally wants to set off a journey to the north pole. The porter use the hospital's freezer to make a replica of the north pole where children are allowed to play with the snow and build snowman.
I would like to recommend this book to my friends, children and families those who are interested in reading this book. Every time I pick this book. I can't stop reading it. The story is gorgeous!
