Proofread help: a translated reference for master's admission

Hi all,

This is my first time to post a question here. Hope someone friendly could help me with proofreading and comments.

I am preparing lots of application materials for the master programme, and time is rush!! Below I wrote a translation for my professor's reference. In fact, I feel it still not formal and academic enough. Can anyone provide me correction? It is the letter---

To Whom It May Concern,

It is my pleasure to recommend the application of Ms. xxx for further study at your academy. I have known Ms. xxx for almost 8 years, ever since she was a freshman in the Fine Arts Department at xxx (xxx). She was a student in my drawing class and attended a couple of my other classes during the course of her undergraduate programme. I was also her adviser for her graduation project as a senior. After graduation from xxx, although she returned to Hong Kong for 4 years, she visited me in Taipei on several occasions; during this time, we had many conversations on art and her career.

Her performance at university was outstanding. She always demonstrated her talent, intelligence, passion, and attention to detail, and she is a unique student, conscious and aware in her thinking and execution. These traits are rare to find in today’s students, but I believe they are vital for any art professional.

Ms. xxx is not only an aspiring artist but also involved in various community activities, especially those concerning social issues. This is reflected in her video creations and work experience in Hong Kong. Her creations are poetic, beautiful, sophisticated, and powerful. In my 12 years of teaching, she is certainly one of the finest students to have passed through the doors of this department.

I strongly recommend Ms. xxx for further study at your academy because I see great potential in her. If you require anything additional assistance for her application, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
