Hello everyone.

Say, for example, I'm attending this immigration-related event, and I have a question I want to ask during the Q&A part, can I go as follows?

"It recently came to my knowledge that a new list of approved professions is due for release in mid 2013; is this piece of news correct? and if so, can we expect that this list will provide wider window for the IT people for applying to the program?"

Thank you for your time.

What if it was rephrased as follows:

"It recently came to my knowledge that a new list of approved professions is due for release in mid 2013. Is this true? And if so, will the new list provide IT people with a wider window for applying?"
