Tom is a captain of the Austrlian team. He took wrong decision e.g. instead of batting, he took bowling(cricket). Now, I think, this decision is for the worse because at present condition it seems Australia is going to loss the match though I am not sure.

Can I write like this : As usual, Tom misldeads Australia into go away the chances of winning the match.
