Hi. I have written a blog post, and I would really appreciate having an opinion about it. Thank you in advance.
What is the one thing that you see when you look at your surrounding?
Because no man is an island, we live surrounded by millions of people. Although the setting differs, but still what is common are the behaviors. We, human beings, have this ability to shadow our thoughts with our bodies. We let them carry out our thoughts. In other words, we let the physical takes control over the brain, for the way the thought was formulated can be betrayed by a gesture from the body, thus a misunderstanding in the eyes of the surroundings.
An understanding that is based on what is outerly shown is rarely reliable. I guess that is the point of Harper Lee's quote.
' You never really understand a person untilyou consider things from his point of view- until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.'
We continuously get disappointed by people, because we believe what their behaviors have transmitted as ideas. But what if we get through this whole misinterpretation of behaviors, which is generally a modified version of ideas to get to the orginal ones. It is by climbing to people's skins and walking around in it, that we can get to the original ideas, thus knowing people best. It only demands, being in several settings, yet within your own. I will try that, and I will see how it goes.
