The tree near my village pond was unlike any other trees. It could grow in very harsh weather. It endured for centuries. The bark was very thick which was about three inches. The trunk was as round as the pole as my grand father saw in the city. The branches were here but the leaves were gone in the winter. Kids loved playing around the tree. For some reason, there was a myth which existed before the twenty century. The elders then said to their progenys that if you had played near the tree, it would have given you good luck. Even when the people in the village were capable thinking rationaly, they still brought their children playing in the tree. When my great grand father watched the kids playing, they were amuse him. Once, he saw a kid fell into the pound as the branch was collasping.
