Proof Check

"You will have to cook by yourself if you are to improve your health by putting the daily nutrients you take under control."

Could I trouble you to tell me whether the sentence above sounds natural to your ears? Thanks in advance!

To cook by yourself, or, to cook for yourself, are both grammatically correct.

They have slightly different meanings.

To cook by yourself, means to cook without anyone helping.

To cook for yourself, means that you are cooking to feed yourself.

But both have very similar meanings.
