Prooduction?

The light commercial vehicle Transit will be added to the production of Ford Focus and Mondeo at the beginning of 2012.

Could you explain this sentence more easily? . I want to know the word "Transit". If it means the car name, the content is a little awkward. Did I misunderstand this one? Thank you for reading.

uk/Commercialvehicles/Transit 'Transit' is the model name, and its placement in the sentence is fine, although it could also appear at the beginning.
