Pronunciation : regret it

Hi teachers,

That what I heard on a video. You regret it? Turning down her down.

But the caption shows: You regretted turning her down.

1. Does "regret it" sound the same as "regretted"?

2. Aside from the sound, how do you phrase the whole sentence?

Thanks

TN

These cannot be equated as written because one is a question and the other is not. Let me assume it is meant as a question:

a) You regret it? Turning her down?
b) Yo
