I just found out that 'demotivate' is pronounced as 'dee-moh-tuh-veyt' and 'demoralize' as 'dih-mawr-uh-lahyz'. That's completely the opposite of what I thought. How on earth is one supposed to know when it's 'dih' and 'dee' ?
Thanks
