pronunciation of -ton endings

I would like you to help me with this one. How do you produce the endings with -ton, and -tain, like in Trenton,Quinton, mountain and fountain. Please I'd like specific information on how to pronounce those ones.

Regards.

The typical American pronunciation of "ton"/"tain" after an "n" is with unreleased "t" and syllabic "n", which is just another way of saying what Philip already explained.

An alternate pronunciation is with a neutral unaspirated "t", a schwa, and a consonantal "n". This would probably be the form used for announcing the news of the day on TV or radio.
