Speech & Pronunciation

Pronunciation of the s letter at the end of words when proceed by a vowel.

Hello, everyone!

Here's a quick question for y'all:

Sometimes, the s letter at the end of some words is proceeded by a vowel. My question is: should I pronounce it as an "s" or as a "z"?

For example: "in my arms again". Is it "armsagain" or "armzagain"? I'm aware that, by itself, the s should be pronounced simply as an s.

Joaozin Sometimes, the s letter at the end of some words is proceeded by a vowel. I think you mean followed by a vowel? The pronunciation of plural "s", whether a soft "s" or "z" sound, depends on what precedes it, not what follows it.
