Pronunciation of "relapse"

Hi

I assume there are two different pronunciations of this word:

relapse /r?/

relapse /ri?/

Could you please tell me which one you follow?

Thanks,

Tom

I think I use the first one for the verb and the second for the noun. As well as the quality of the vowel changing, the stress also shifts from second to first syllable.

Personally? (This isn't the pronunciation given in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.)

Noun: /'ri? ?læps/
Verb: /ri 'læps/

(American Midwestern pronunciation - no lax vowel in the first syllable in either case)
